Background

Blake's upbringing was marred by a broken home with an abusive father that led him down a turbulent path and dropping out of high school shortly after his sixteenth birthday. Spiraling further his poor choices led him to be incarcerated and placed in juvenile hall, a trajectory that seemed destined to escalate further. However, fate intervened when a military recruiter crossed his path, persuading him to enlist. It was within the structured confines of the military that Blake finally discovered a sense of purpose and proficiency. Thriving under the discipline and structure, he excelled and quickly ascended to Special Forces, eventually commanding a unit of his own.

While Blake possessed natural survival instincts and formidable combat skills, the weight of responsibility weighed heavily on him. The burden of placing the lives of his soldiers in jeopardy took a toll, leading him to isolate himself emotionally from others. The dichotomy of leadership proved to be a double-edged sword, as he excelled in command while grappling with the profound sacrifices it demanded.

Blake's mettle was tested when his military outpost fell under a brutal ambush by local insurgents. In a selfless act, he valiantly saved numerous lives but came dangerously close to losing his own. Sustaining three bullets to the chest while ensuring the safe retreat of his comrades, his survival owed much to the bravery and swift actions of a rookie combat medic named Tamara.

Though the military had been his initial calling, Blake eventually made the decision to depart from service, following his heart and joining forces with Tamara. Reunited with Gob, a former subordinate from his unit, they forged a team of rookie Hunters, united in their shared mission to confront the encroaching darkness. Together, they embarked on a new war, armed with their determination and camaraderie, standing as a steadfast defense against the dangers of the unknown.

Tactics

Blake is a versatile Hunter that can fill a variety of roles in combat. He has a high Melee Attack value and can burst damage targets by using his Shotgun interrupt. Multi-Attack allows him to re-roll 1 combat dice per turn which can increase his odds of turning one of his attacks into a Critical Hit. Barricade and Tricks of the Trade offer additional utility but are limited by 1 charge. Fortunately, Blake can utilize his Restock skill to recharge the Interrupts for his Shotgun and abilities.
